Krisztina de Châtel about per aspera: ‘Besides ‘the research’ – the style I have developed – I sometimes find it challenging to explore a different choreographic approach, in which a larger range of movements – more complex and more flowing – is possible.’

By combining the expressionistic Graham technique with her personally acquired style, which is characterised by structural clarity and forceful movements, de Châtel surprises us with a dance piece that is nothing if not exceptional. (Trouw)
