Lara
Lara Croft is the heroin of the popular computer game Tomb Raider. To Krisztina de Châtel she is also the source of inspiration of her choreography Lara.
In Tomb Raider, Lara is a modern agent 007 involved in the most fantastic adventures. In Krisztina de Châtel’s choreography Tomb Raider is projected life-size and played live on stage by a whiz kid. The dancers literally enter the virtual world of Lara Croft.
Just as Lara in Tomb Raider gets into impossible situations that can only be solved by the player, the dancers in this choreography depend on the skills of the whiz kid. The interaction between dance, live music and live camera images are determined by the game that each night develops differently.
